Basic Fire Safety

(3 Hour Course)

This course is designed for individuals who have no prior understanding of fire safety.  It is ideal for persons who may be required to respond to a fire related emergency or use a fire extinguisher/ hose reel to control a small fire.

It provides delegates with the theoretical and practical knowledge when dealing with fire related emergencies in the work place.

Course Content:

•     Current legislation, terms and definitions

•     Risk assessment, Job Safety Analysis (J.S.A.) & Hazard reduction

•     Composition of fire

•     How fire spreads

•     Raising the alarm

•     How to attack the fire

•     What to do when the fire is out

All delegates will enjoy this relaxed approach to learning, led by an experienced instructor who fully understands individual learning needs. This basic fire safety course will give delegates the confidence to deal with fire related emergencies.

All delegates who attend this basic fire safety course will be provided with a fire safety training pack and manual, which will assist their understanding of the course content. This course can be tailored to meet your business needs.
