Paediatric First Aid

(12 Hour Course)

This first aid course has been designed to meet the recommendations of OFSTED for people working within schools and child care environments.  This course is suitable for all:

•    Teachers

•        Child Carers

•        Nursery Nurses

•        Teaching Assistants

•        Supervisory Assistants

•        Pre-school Staff

•        Anyone who has the responsibility for children and young people and wishes to assist if ever a child related first aid situation arises.

This course also meets the recommendations of the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) for Appointed Persons in the Workplace.  These recommendations are met due to the inclusion of adult basic life support skills within the syllabus. 

All delegates will enjoy this on-site, relaxed approach to learning, led by an instructor who fully understands your learning needs.  This first aid course will give participants the confidence to deal with first aid emergencies.

All delegates who attend this first aid course will be provided with a first aid manual, which will assist their understanding of the course content. This course can be tailored to meet your business needs and can be delivered on site at no extra cost. 

As this is a 12 hour course, it can be split into blocks of days, afternoons, or evenings.  Courses are also available at the weekend.

Course Content:

On completion of the course a certificate of competency in Paediatric First Aid is awarded and is valid for 3 years.  This certificate is issued in accordance with the Health and Safety Executive (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

‘Holly Knibbs Safety & First Aid Training’ recognise that it is not always possible to have all staff and helpers attend the 12 Hour course and have designed this 4 Hour Emergency First Aid Course that ensures that everyone can receive appropriate training enabling them to deal with any life threatening emergencies and assist the registered Paediatric First Aider where required. This allows more flexibility in your school or child care setting. 

This Health & Safety Recommended and HSE Accredited (government approved) Emergency First Aid training course is designed for individuals who have no prior understanding of first aid.

It provides delegates with the theoretical and practical knowledge when dealing with first aid emergencies more likely to be encountered in the school or child care setting. 

All delegates will enjoy this relaxed approach to learning, led by an experienced instructor who fully understands individual learning needs. This first aid course will give delegates the confidence to deal with first aid emergencies.
